When tested to the standards of the ASHRAE 110-1995 Method of Testing
Laboratory Fume Hoods,
the Vortex II, Bi-Stable Vortex Fume Safety Cabinet performs exceptionally
well.
It qualifies as a "Class A" fume hood, per the performance
specification in the ANSI/AIHA Z9.5-1992 American National Standard
for Laboratory Ventilation.

These ASHRAE tracer gas test results show a standard 6' bench Bi-Stable
Vortex Fume Safety Cabinet's performance, in both the horizontal and
vertical sash postitions at 59 FPM and 44 FPM respectively indicating
a spillage rate well below the acceptable criteria of 0.05 ppm of tracer
gas. Testing was completed by an independent testing agency.
