Customized SAM MAX packages are available for different equipment room configurations. SAM-I MAX is ideal for monitoring leaks from one or two chillers. SAM-IV MAX provides a low cost per point alternative in cases where additional coverage is required or where multiple chillers are installed.

ADVANCED INFRARED TECHNOLOGY

     All SAM MAX continuous refrigerant monitors use infrared technology to detect refrigerant leaks down to the one part per million level. The SAM MAX Monitor's unique optical design allows it to be compound specific and practically eliminates nuisance alarms from other compounds which may be present. GAC's patented small, low volume "Macro Light Pipe" gas cell allows for rapid instrument response to changes in concentration levels.

A NEW RUGGED AND COMPACT DESIGN

     The new SAMs feature the monitor and sample manifold in one compact, watertight package. One instrument can monitor from one to four sample points. Additional multipoint manfold packages are available to expand the number of sample points.

    Samples can be collected from distances of up to 500 feet. SAMs are insensitive to vibration and temperature variation and can be mounted on the wall, rack or even the equipment itself. Three level alarms warn against refrigerant leaks. Standard outputs include 4-20 mA and RS-485 for direct input into Building Management Systems.

USER FRIENDLY INTERFACE

     Each system is factory calibrated and easy to install ... no need to calibrate upon start-up or during its first year of operation. Refrigerant concentration levels are indicated on the digital display. Alarm messages identify the area in alarm and the alarm level. Malfunction diagnostic indicators pinpoint any system malfunction.
